We’re all on the edge of our seats waiting to see what Microsoft has planned for Nokia in the next coming days as MWC is a little over a week away. We’ve heard rumors of the company preparing a significant amount of devices for launch in Barcelona, but we’ve got to hand it to the company for keeping most of these a secret. The reason why we say ‘most’ is because the list is quite bigger than expected.
A website that hosts the import-export information for India is reporting a significant amount of devices arriving to the country for testing through New Delhi air, and we’re talking of plane-loads of handsets. Amount the list we see the model numbers RM-980, RM-964, RX-115, RM-977, RM-976, RM-978, RM-974, RM-990, to just name a few.
To give you an idea, the RM-980 is the Nokia X, or Normandy as we’ve been hearing it called, which is presumed to be the company’s first Android phone. We also see devices like the RM-976, 977, and 978, which would be the first Lumia 630/635 type of phones to include a dual-SIM feature.
Sadly we don’t see any high-end Lumia phones on this list. It could be that Microsoft is just testing its entry-level devices, which are quite popular in India. We’ll keep you posted as more news develop.
