Leaks implied and predicted that the yet unannounced HTC M8 will be joined in the line-up by a certain M8 Mini, which we considered to be possible and highly likely if the Taiwanese phone-maker’s 2013 release history and models are of any indication. The HTC One Mini was announced about four months after the One flagship was unveiled.
Talking about the M8 Mini, @evleaks has some predictions regarding the specs on the upcoming mini phone. It will allegedly be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, and will feature a 4.5-inch 720p screen. There will allegedly be 1GB of RAM inside the phone as well as 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), and a pair of 13MP/5MP shooters will answer your imaging needs. The OS of choice is hinted to be Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6.0 on top of it, as well as on-screen buttons like we’ve heard rumored for the M8.
In comparison to the 2013 HTC One Mini, the M8 Mini (judging by the specs), will bump the screen size a bit, but not the resolution, the processor should gain two more cores, and, while RAM and storage are kept the same, it will not be purportedly expandable. The cameras are hinted to be higher resolution than the four-megapixel UltraPixel camera on the One Mini.
HTC M8 mini (mem_ul): SD400 (1.4GHz x4), 4.5″, 720p, 1GB/16GB (+microSD), 13MP/5MP, a/b/g/n/ac, BT4.0, KK4.4.2, Sense6.0, buttons on screen.

Update: The One Mini in 2013 had the same camera setup as the One, meaning a four-megapixel UltraPixel camera on the back (non-stabilized though). If this 13/5MP camera duo rumored above is a dual-back-camera weirdness (like we’ve heard rumors for the M8), it’s safe to assume the M8 will have the same system: a 13 and a 5MP shooter, both on the back.
