It’s no secret that the LG Optimus G Pro follow-up will show up in Barcelona; LG itself has confirmed the G Pro 2 announcement, and already teased some of its upcoming features, like the 13MP OIS Plus camera, and the improved sound system on the phone. We’ve also seen leaked images of the upcoming phone so we pretty much know what to expect.
However, it looks like LG might be planning a local event, before MWC. As you can see in the invitation above, it should happen in Seoul on the 13th of the month and, while there’s not much to go by, the tagline references “knock-knock knocking’ on” … probably Heaven’s door (like Bob Dylan or Guns N’ Roses later). However, the music theme aside, LG’s latest phones can be turned on from standby by tapping on the screen, a feature the phone-maker calls “Knock Knock” or “Knock On”, so it would definitely have something to do with that.
We might be looking at either a local sneak-peak at the device, or a carrier variant; the global unveiling should still happen at MWC.
