Over the weekend we’ve heard some really
“wtf” eyebrow-raising rumors concerning the “competition” for Microsoft’s CEO position. A report claimed that Google’s own Sundar Pichai was a front-runner, and a serious name to consider on the “external” candidates list, while Satya Nadella is still in the competition on the “internal” candidates list.
Re/code’s Co-Executive Editor Kara Swisher claims to have pinged her internal contacts within both Microsoft and Google, and said contacts have vehemently denied Sundar Pichai-related hear-say. Apparently, according to Swisher, more sources have denied that Pichai is in the run for any position within Microsoft, so, at the moment we have sources versus sources, and we can’t really verify the veracity of neither bits of information.
