Last year, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 has lent its name to many products that followed, including the water-proof Galaxy S4 Active, the smaller sibling Galaxy S 4 Mini, as well as the Frankencameraphone, the Galaxy S 4 Zoom. Chances are big that this year Samsung will follow the same trend, as a certain Galaxy S 5 Active is being mentioned in a recent report from South Korea.
While the S4 Active, according to reports, has accounted for only three-to-four percent from the total sales volume of the S4 brand, Samsung is allegedly expecting a much larger number from the S5 Active, of approximately twenty-to-thirty percent.
Samsung has recently announced an Unpacked event, the first one of the year, for MWC Barcelona, and, despite the invitation clearly featuring a “5″, opinions are split on whether we’ll see the Galaxy S 5 on the show floor. Furthermore, if 2013 is any indication, the S 5 Active, and other S 5-derivates, should launch after the flagship phone itself. Whatever the case, we’ll be there to tell you all about it.
