This is for your weekend casual read, your viewing, and commenting pleasure! We were expecting stuff like this to surface after the Google-Motorola-Lenovo deal and the internet didn’t disappoint. First of all, the fact that Lenovo now owns Motorola (thanks to Google) is by no means an indication that the Chinese manufacturer’s American phone-maker branch will build the next Nexus. Heck, Motorola didn’t build the Nexus 5 while it was Google-owned.
We don’t need to enumerate all the reasons why this concept is very optimistic, to say the least. Instead, we’ll present you with the images above and below, and see how things would go down if designer Jermaine Smit had a word to say in all this. The image could have easily been titled “Xperia Z2 concept” because, at least from the front, it looks a lot like the Xperia Z1. From perspective, it would have a Motorola-like curved back and we won’t even go into details regarding naming, its relationship to screen size, and so on, but by this time we can all move on to the comments below and gather all the reasons why this will not happen, at least not in this form, and not this early.
