The rumors and speculation will never stop until Microsoft officially puts an end to all the hear-say by officially naming its next CEO. The focus has slowly shifted from Stephen Elop and Alan Mulally as we were recently informed by Bloomberg that Satya Nadella is likely the next person to take the helms of Microsoft.
However, Silicon Angle’s sources claim to know different things. “According to sources close to the hiring team”, Sundar Pichai as Microsoft CEO is likely, as he is the front-runner for the position. If you’re shaking your head in disbelief right about now it’s because Pichai is the current Google Senior Vice President for Android, Chrome and Google Apps. The report claims that negotiations are ongoing and Pichai is negotiating with the “hiring committee” as the top external candidate, while Nadella allegedly remains the first in-house option.
