Sony Xperia Z1 Compact available at O2 UK

Whether you like black, lime, pink, or white, you can have any, if you’re in the UK, and consider O2’s offer for the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. Announced at the beginning of the year in Las Vegas with the occasion of CES 2014, the Z1 Compact brings flagship specs to the smaller form factor. £479.99 is what you’ll have to pay if you choose the pay-as-you-go option (around $790), but things can get somewhat cheaper if you choose one of the tariffs.

You won’t have a charger inside the box as O2 removed it. Why? Trying to reduce waste, and O2 assumes you already have one lying around. Luckily, they didn’t remove the specs, so you should expect to see internals like on the Xperia Z1, but with a smaller, 4.3-inch 720p screen with TRILUMINOS display. The 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor is in, and so are the 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), and 20.7MP camera. The battery is rated at 2,300mAh and the build remain waterproof (IP55 and IP58) and dust-resistant (IP55).
