It’s been almost two years since we were enchanted by the brilliant Super AMOLED display on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and, despite hearing rumors back in December of Super AMOLED-powered Samsung tablets for 2014, the CES line-up, though extraordinary as far as specs on paper are concerned, didn’t bring that.
Reports from Korea claim that Samsung will soon start mass-production for AMOLED displays to be included in future tablets. A first such screen will allegedly be an eight-incher, but we can expect the manufacturer to release a ten-inch version of a AMOLED-powered slate too.
Mobile World Congress could be a great place to show off some of these upcoming tablets, but Samsung has been known to launch slates at phone events, like the most recent in London for the Galaxy S 4 Active.
