Last Friday, Motorola announced the details of its most interesting Moto X deal to date, revealing that today, from 3 to 4pm, the off-contract Moto X would be available for $100 off its current price (a price that already got knocked-back $100 earlier this month). That means the opportunity to score a free-and-clear 16GB Moto X for just about $300.
For $25 more, you can also upgrade to one of the new wooden backs, and an extra $50 will move you up to the 32GB version of the handset.
Like previous deals, expect this one to move quickly. Besides the one hour ticking clock, there’s also a limited quantity, and if you don’t act fast you might not be able to score the deal at all. The way it will work is that you’ll register for a discount code, and then you’ll have a limited amount of time (probably a few days, though the details haven’t been announced yet) to stop by Moto Maker and configure your new phone.
Even if you miss out on this afternoon’s savings, you’ve still got another few weeks to get a nice deal, with a $70-off discount continuing through Valentine’s day.
Update: Here’s the link to get your discount code.
