You all remember the fan-made render of the HTC M8 we’ve seen not so long ago. It featured, among some other slight changes, on-screen buttons. HTC went with a physical button layout for the One line-up (including the One, One Mini, and One Max), but apparently, according to @evleaks, the M8 will have its buttons on the screen, pretty much like the fan-concept we’ve seen earlier.
The HTC M8 will be the successor of the HTC One (M7) from 2013, and it is for the moment tentatively called the One+. While some reports claim HTC will show it off on the MWC show floor in Barcelona, others believe that a special event might be coming at the end of Q1, beginning of Q2. Regardless of when we’ll see it, the M8′s buttons will definitely take up a small stripe of screen real estate (a la Nexus devices), something we can all live with if it will mean smaller bezels.
