Prepare for more Samsung phablets, as ”Samsung Electronics have established themselves as the leader in the big screen smart phone market, starting with Galaxy Note in 2011“, said Samsung’s Executive Director Hyunjoon Kim. This year the company plans on focusing more on smartphones with bigger screens, in the five-six inch category, and it aims to further improve S-Pen features, as well as multi-window. We can also expect differentiated displays for products in the line-up.
As far as tablets are concerned, Samsung is focusing, according to the executive, on manufacturing high-quality slates for the business users. This year we should see big screen tablets from Samsung, “with high resolution tablets as a new tablet category”. There will also be models heavily based on the Galaxy Tab line, but some modifications might also be possible.
At the beginning of this year, at CES, Samsung announced some of its new slates for 2014, bringing the same high-resolution to different form factors; internal specifications for the Las Vegas line-up is also on the higher-end, all tablets featuring more or less the same powerhouse configuration.
