HTC One KitKat update being certified by US carriers

Mid-February is what some European carriers, like SFR from France, predict when it comes to the official Android 4.4 KitKat update for the HTC One. While unlocked versions might receive the refresh earlier –and there are already reports of it being sent out– American carrier flavors will not lag that much behind.

According to the latest official information from HTC, the 4.4 update has been sent to carriers and is currently undergoing testing and certification stages. Those rocking an HTC One on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or Verizon, should expect, according to the manufacturer, certification sometime next week, meaning that the roll-out process could start late January/early February.
