Apple appears to have re-launched the iPhone 4 in India, according to a recent India Times report. Apparently, iPhone sales have plummeted following the introduction of the latest models, the iPhone 5S, and the iPhone 5C, which are being referred to by India Times, as overpriced.
Additionally, Apple retired the iPhone 5 from the market, leaving future possible owners no choice for a lower-end/budget iPhone. However, it appears that the iPhone 4 is back in the game, but at an “almost robbery” price of Rs23,000, which translates to roughly $375, as referred to in the report. The expected/rumored price was Rs15,000 (around $240), which would have been acceptable by India Times, but still too high for the Indian market.
