Galaxy S 5 rumors talk resolution, battery, and iris scanner
Prepare to see more and more Samsung rumors in the upcoming weeks as the Galaxy S 4 becomes slowly due for a refresh. We’ve just recently seen what might end up to be Magazine UI for smartphones, and, implicitly, for the next S-flagship, and now we’re hearing more rumors concerning the upcoming device. Some of these we’ve already heard in the past, while some might be new.
First of all, these rumors haven’t been verified and belong to an anonymous PhoneArena tipster that claims the SGS5 will have a QHD screen with 1440 x 2560 resolution and will be powered by a 2,900mAh battery. Opposed to all the 16MP camera rumors based on Samsung’s own ISOCELL tech, the new report claims the GS5 will pack a 20MP main shooter, much like the Sony Xperia Z1 — and the rumored Z2 follow-up.
The iris scanner bits are back, as we’ve heard them initially. A “state of the art” iris sensor, alongside a cornucopia of health-related accessories are also mentioned in the report, and those expecting to see a metal build will be disappointed, as the chassis is claimed to be still made out of plastic (however, this time, in line with the new fake stitched leather policy from recent products).
