2013 brought us a new Nexus smartphone, and a new Nexus 7, but no new Nexus 10. For a while there we were bouncing around the possibility of seeing a new one, either another Samsung model or maybe even something from ASUS, but we rounded-out the year empty handed. Could that Nexus 10 refresh still be in our future? One rumor says “yes,” and suggests that its debut might be mere days away, with Google and Samsung showing the device off at the CES.
This account is seriously short on details, but it does offer one compelling spec: that the new Nexus 10 might upgrade to an OLED display. We’ve heard the theory that Samsung might be bringing OLEDs to its tablet lineup in 2014 before, and even specifically in regards to a 10.5-inch model launching in January. Granted, that could easily be another device, but it at least makes this Nexus 10 rumor sound plausible.
Aside from any Nexus 10, we’re looking forward to a whole bunch of new Samsung tablets in the coming months, including the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, and the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. Some new benchmark info on the Pro 10.1 just arrived, and the tablet’s looking pretty decent: 2560 x 1600 panel, Exynos 5 Octa, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB storage. One way or another, Samsung should have nice new tablets up for sale, come spring.
