Moto G vs Lumia 520 (Video)

We spend a lot of time at Pocketnow talking about high-end luxury smartphones – but there’s a whole other side to the mobile market, a more affordable sector often dismissed as too laden with underperforming products to warrant much attention. Well, this year, Motorola and Nokia have done a very good job surprising us in this area, delivering the low-cost Moto G and Lumia 520, respectively.

Our own Taylor Martin just reviewed the Moto G last week, and I spent a day getting to know the device shortly thereafter. Our consensus is that it’s an impressive smartphone with a blockbuster price tag. Meanwhile, Adam Lein’s review of the Lumia 521, the T-Mobile variant of the 520, called it “the smartphone deal of the year.”

So these are both stunningly affordable mobiles (insofar as smartphones go), but at $179 for the Android device and a mere $59 for the Windows Phone, which one’s the better value? Tune in to Moto G vs Lumia 520 to find out, then drop a line in the comments letting us know which one’s going in your pocket -or under your tree- this holiday season!
