The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and its LTE version for Verizon, was a tablet that wowed us with is Super AMOLED screen. Ever since, we wondered when the market (us included), will see a tablet with a screen made with the technology, and now, a recent rumor popped up saying that if might just be around the corner.
Eight- and ten-inch Samsung Super AMOLED-powered tablets are in the works, according to rumors, and they’re slated for an announcement together with the next Galaxy flagship, the S 5. Speculation on the matter is that Suepr AMOLED screens will be exclusive to high-end tablets, while lower-end ones will continue to get LCD panels. Rumor also has it that production for these tablets, and their screens, will start next year, to compete with the iPad and the iPad mini, while chatter amplifies concerning a larger, above-12-inch slate, that would likely use the same technology.
