We all know “you snooze, you lose,” but the way Motorola’s second try at its disaster-prone Cyber Monday Moto X sale attempt just went, you could have missed the whole thing just by taking a little too long to make a cup of coffee. After going live at noon today, the sale was over in less than ten minutes.
After Motorola’s servers couldn’t handle the demand on Monday, the company announced its intent to try this whole save-$150-on-a-Moto-X thing again and put out the offer back out both today and next Monday, December 9. The way things work, interested shoppers register to get a discount code so long as they’re available, and after securing that code, you have one week to design your custom Moto X in the Moto Maker before the savings expire.
But like we said – today Motorola ran out of those codes in a matter of minutes. Take this as your warning not to mess around on Monday, and be there right at noon (Eastern) to try and get your discount code then. Don’t count on seeing this offer return for yet another round, so if you still want to grab a cheap off-contract Moto X, make sure you’re ready then.
