You might not really understand “le raison d’être” of the Samsung Galaxy Grand line, but that didn’t stop the OEM from updating the original Galaxy Grand from 2012. A little over a month ago, the South Korean phone-maker announced the Galaxy Grand 2, and, apparently, rumor has it that we’ll see a Galaxy Grand Lite at the upcoming 2014 MWC in Barcelona.
According to SamMobile, we should prepare to see a phone which will be placed between the two already existent Samsung Galaxy Grand phones: the Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite, with model number GT-I9060. The report predicts a five-inch screen with WVGA resolution, like the original Grand, but a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, like on the Grand 2. Also in will allegedly be 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage (like on the 2012 model) with microSD slot, and a 2,100mAh battery, again, like on the original version.
A five-megapixel camera is also rumored alongside dual-SIM operation, and the Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite should run at least Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.
