Back in April, even before the HTC One was available for pre-order in the US, we’ve heard of a certain HTC 802w, a phone that basically looks identical to the HTC One, but has a removable back cover. Underneath that, there are two SIM slots, as well as a microSD card slot for expanding the internal storage.
Underneath the aluminum there are the same specs that you are used to by now from the HTC One: a 4.7-inch Full HD screen, 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, four-megapixel UltraPixel camera, and the 2,300mAh battery. HTC Sense will still be on top of Android to change its looks and add functionalities. While the back cover is removable alright, it still doesn’t give users the option to switch out batteries; instead, you can place two SIMs inside (one for work, and one for everything else), as well as a 64GB microSD card to expand the on-board storage.
This variant of the One, with 32GB internal storage, will cost £494.99 and is available for pre-order starting now, if you’re in the UK.
