The Samsung Galaxy Grand from the end of last year brought mid-range specs to the large form factor. Notable features included the five-inch screen, however, with poor WVGA resolution display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage.
Today, 11 months later, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 brings an even larger, 5.25-inch display, with an HD resolution of 1280 by 720. The processor still clocks at 1.2GHz, but, this time, it has four cores, and RAM has been bumped to 1.5GB, while internal storage has been kept at 8GB, though expandable via microSD card. The cameras include an eight and a 1.9-megapixel pair for the back and front, and the battery powering everything is a 2,600mAh unit.
The phone supports dual-SIM operation, is powered by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and will be available in White, Black and Pink. However, no further details have been made public.
