Instagram has been one of the most requested applications to be brought to the Windows Phone platform. Co-founder of Instagram, Kevin Systrom, revealed his desire to bring the photo sharing platform to all mobile operating systems, but when that would actually happen was previously unknown.

A few weeks ago, it was hinted the release of the official Windows Phone Instagram app was looming, and earlier today, the application hit the Windows Phone Store as a public BETA.

We go hands-on with the official application in the video below, detailing the highlights and missing features. Just remember, this is not the final version – it’s a BETA. It’s likely to have a few bugs and not every feature will be implemented. Keeping that in mind, enjoy the Instagram for Windows Phone walkthrough below!
