HTC One Android 4.4 KitKat update coming in the UK at the end of January 2014

The HTC One Android 4.4 KitKat update for the regular (non-Developer and non-Google Edition) version of the phone in the UK can be expected at the end of January 2014. HTC UK took it to Twitter to inform owners that the phone-maker is “working with our local carriers to begin the rollout of Android 4.4 and Sense 5.5 for the #HTCOne from end of January 2014”.

The UK HTC One just (relatively) recently got its Android 4.3 update, with the new version of Sense. The UK was relatively late to that party so we’re guessing that January 2014 will be the timeframe to watch out even if you are not within the UK; pan-European HTC One devices should, if the past is any indication, get their KitKat treat around the same time.
