The Samsung Galaxy Gear, the company’s “unripe fruit“, has sold 50,000 units worldwide; that was the information circulating on the internet yesterday, based on a report from Business Korea. To put an end to all speculation, as well as try to rebuild the already “not so good” image of the product, Samsung Electronics has made some numbers public.
The company brags about 800,000 units sold since the Galaxy Gear’s debut two months ago, making it the world’s most popular smartwatch. This number is, according to the company, exceeding its own expectations, and, as you can probably judge, it is far from the 50,000 units report we’ve recently heard. With the Galaxy Gear selling more than some phones worldwide (if the numbers are legit, and Samsung is not pulling a marketing stunt this time, too), let us know whether you accept these numbers and if you are a happy owner of a Galaxy Gear.
