Smartwaches, whether you like them or not, are the next big thing, and everyone apparently wants to be in the game. Qualcomm announced today that its subsidiary, Qualcomm Connected Experiences, will make the Toq smartwatch available on December 2, which coincides with Cyber Monday. The Toq smartwatch offers Android smartphone compatibility and features Qualcomm’s own Mirasol display technology.
Aside from the “always-on” display, the gadget also features Qualcomm WiPower LE technology which enables “a hassle-free, true “drop and go” wireless charging experience”, as well as stereo Bluetooth audio experience, which , according to the press release, represent the “first truly wireless stereo headphones that sit outside the ear canal for all day comfort and wearability”.
As for the price, you’ll have to pay the same amount which you’d probably fork our for a Nexus 5: the Toq will set you back $349.99. Look for it on December 2.
