After some early pre-order hiccups, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is now back on track, and shoppers interested in picking up the first Windows Phone phablet are busy getting their orders in. We know that the phone will be available in matte black, white, and yellow, as well as glossy red, but if you’ve got your heart set on that yellow option you might want to hurry, as rumors suggest that there might not be that many to go around.
One of WPCentral’s sources reports that the yellow 1520 will be “scarce” at launch. Already, we see that Microsoft isn’t taking pre-orders for the yellow 1520, though AT&T is; when pre-orders first opened, Microsoft still had a yellow option available.
What’s unclear is if AT&T is dealing with similarly limited stocks, and it’s just a matter of time before it runs out of yellow 1520s too, or if it might have had secured a larger number than Microsoft did, and should have plenty to make available to its customer base. If you’ve just got to have that yellow one, though, we wouldn’t recommend waiting around to see what happens with AT&T’s supply; they’re available now, so pre-order while you can.
