Moto X rooted again after camera update

The write protection on the Moto X has been bypassed and root was achieved via an exploit back in the days when the phone was fresh but thanks to the recent camera update that was pushed out by Motorola, this has now been patched. If you’re in this situation you should know that there’s a new root solution available, though it will void your warranty and you’ll need to read through the instructions and feedback thread if you’re serious about this.

In case you want to proceed, the RockMyMoto tool will grant you root access (and will do so using Saurik’s Cydia Impactor). The process in rather lengthy and involved a lot of steps. As usual, proceed with caution, at your own risk, and only of your Moto X has the camera update installed.
