Nokia’s Abu Dhabi event wasn’t only about hardware, though the Lumia 1520 and 2520 definitely stole the spotlight and headlines. Part of the announcement was also referring to official Instagram and Vine clients coming to Windows Phone, and we told you why this is a very important move for both Microsoft and its OEM partners.

Some people might consider Instagram happening on Windows Phone as Nokia’s victory. Nokia, on the other hand, thanks all of you out there for making this happen. In a recent tweet, the Finnish phone maker is letting everyone know that the official client will be available for Lumia phones in the coming weeks. There’s also a teaser image, which you can find above.

Now, when it comes to Instagram, you either love it or hate it. However, given its huge success and large user base, this is definitely something Windows Phone needed, if, for nothing else, but ticking a major app off of the “not available on Windows Phone” list.
