Despite the leaked render of the Verizon Nokia Lumia 929 from the beginning of October, the phone was nowhere to be seen at last week’s Nokia World in Abu Dhabi. Still, it is believed to be, at the moment, a variant of some sort for the Lumia 1520 which was unveiled in the United Arab Emirates.
The picture above, and the video embedded below, claim to feature the upcoming phone. As a Lumia 1520 variant, it will retain the Full HD resolution screen — though in a slightly smaller form factor — the speedy Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, as well as the 20-megapixel camera, according to reports. However, the microSD card slot is said to be removed, though a 64GB storage version is expected. As a novelty, the Verizon Nokia Lumia 929 is expected to use a nano SIM format, something which is more common to Apple’s iPhones.
As far as availability is concerned, the source of the leak believes that you should expect this phone around Thanksgiving.
