So far, the Google Nexus 5 is one of the most accurately leaked smartphones of the year in everything but its launch date. We’re already bored with rumors pointing a launch at various days during this month of October, and now that the month is almost over, some of us are already skeptical that the phone will be delayed until November.
That said, some of the original rumors pointed to an October 31st launch, and we get more reports to day that point to it as well, and this time coming from Canada. Sadly the rumor is quite vague and not really substantial since apparently the phone will be available for purchase on the Google Play Store on October 31st, but then Canadians won’t be able to get it until November 7th. Now let’s face it, today is Friday, and the fact that Google hasn’t yet sent anyone press invites for an event next week does lead us to believe that this phone will be silently launched. Something many of us find rather unfortunate since this could be the hottest phone of the year, and doesn’t deserve a silent launch in any way.
The Google Nexus 5 plans to bring most of the successful specifications of the LG G2 into a more discrete design, and a price tag that will simply be unbeatable for everyone this holiday season. Let’s hope we see it soon, before we stop believing in it.
