After getting our hopes up for a possible October 15th launch, leaks of Google’s next smartphone keep coming from lots of difference places. Just as we saw the Nexus 5 getting leaked with some Telus logos a couple of hours ago, now we get to see it leaked by the hands of its own creator, so yeah, it doesn’t get any more real than this.
Most of us were worried that the Nexus 4 could stick around another year and make the Nexus 5 more expensive, but it seems that we might just be in luck, at least when it comes to the price tag. The leaks just showed us the Nexus 5 along with the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10, so we doubt the Nexus 4 will stick around, or at least not as a Play Store option. Still, the fact that the Nexus 10 is in the picture does give us some reasonable doubt, as we also expect this tablet to be refreshed this year.
Google’s new flagship promises the best high-end specs of the year, something we hadn’t seen since the first Nexus One, and if all goes well, we should be seeing the phone launched by the end of the month. You’ll also be happy to know that the leaks included the price tag, and it seems that you’ll have to pay an awesome $349 for the 16GB model, which will most likely leave the $32GB model for an extra Benjamin. Stay tuned for more leaks.
