Considering all the crap we’ve seen so far with Samsung restricting the Galaxy Note 3 in various ways, it’s not surprising that there’s interest in a much more unencumbered “Developer Edition” of the phablet. While we’ve seen such models arrive for Samsung handsets in the past, with the GN3 there hasn’t yet been any sort of official announcement that the company would be doing the same. Despite that absence, it looks like at least one dev version of the GN3 is in the works, as revealed on Samsung’s own site.
The search box on Samsung’s US support page is being a little generous, and when you start typing in “Note 3,” among the many results it returns is a Galaxy Note 3 Developer Edition for Verizon, identified as model SM-N900VMKEVZW (the regular model is N900VZ, not M), and marked as “coming soon.”
There’s no word yet on when it may get here, not if we’ll see anything similar for other carriers; heck, there’s always the chance that Samsung never followed-through on its idea for this model at all, but seeing it here has us hopeful.
