The leaked service manual draft for the upcoming Nexus phone shed some light on recent Nexus 5 rumors. We’ve seen the battery being listed, as well as two storage options. However, according to a report from today, the LG Nexus 5 will not only have different storage options, but also different batteries to power those options. Prices are also mentioned. However, make sure to treat the report accordingly!
$299 is what the 16GB Nexus 5 will allegedly cost, and it will be powered by a 2,300mAh battery, like we’ve seen in the service manual. The 32Gb version though will reportedly be powered by a 3,000mAh battery, and will set you back $399.
We’re not sure what to make of this, as the internal storage is not one of the main power drainers in a battery, at least not to an extent that justifies a 700mAh battery gain. Power bit aside, the prices seem about right, knowing that the Nexus 4 went for $299 and $349, for its 8- and 16GB flavors.
