Kevin Packingham leaves Samsung as company and CPO part ways

Kevin Packingham leaves Samsung and the South Korean manufacturer and its chief product officer for the mobile division part ways. The information has been confirmed by Samsung officials, but, the reasons behind his departure are not crystal clear. The manufacturer didn’t make an official statement.

However, a Samsung spokesperson confirmed the information: “Kevin Packingham has departed Samsung Mobile”. “We thank Kevin for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors”, said Ashley Wimberly, Samsung Mobile’s spokesperson.

Over the past two years as CPO of Samsung Mobile, Packingham was involved in many Galaxy product launches, including the Note II, Galaxy Camera, and the S III. According to reports, he had great merit in getting the S III on all US carriers’ line-up.
