There’s been a lot of speculation lately concerning Steve Ballmer’s successor to the CEO-ship of Microsoft. Recent talks and reports were mentioning Alan Mulally, the current President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ford Motor Company, as leading the shortlist of future possible CEOs for Microsoft.
“I love serving Ford and have nothing new to add to plans to continue serving Ford”. That’s what Mulally had to say about rumors in a recent USA Today interview. Before leading Ford, Mulally was involved with Boeing for 37 years, according to reports. However, according to his statement, his plans with Ford are not going to change in the immediate future.
With this information out, attention turns to Stephen Elop again, whose chances of becoming Microsoft’s next CEO (if doubted), just bounced.
