HTC One Max fingerprint reader confirmed, device gets rooted

Despite previous rumors, and speculation, that the upcoming HTC One Max phablet will not be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor, a series of leaked screenshots seem to confirm HDR video recording capabilities in the camera settings of the One Max, meaning the Snapdragon 800 might be in after all.

A tester has managed to already root the device and has weighed in on the fingerprint scanner at its back, confirming its existence and functionality at the same time: “Spent a few days HTC one Max fingerprint recognition rate is very high, there was no awkward situation”, he said.

There is still no official wording on the upcoming HTC phablet but with so many leaks we might as well take the phone for granted.
