Update: It just came to our attention that October 22 translates to 1022. Could this be a Lumia 1022? …and, if yes, what would it be? The Lumia 1520? A carrier flavor of the 1020? Speculate on in the comments!
Just as we heard more and more rumors concerning a possible delay in Nokia’s Lumia 1520 announcement, the recently Microsoft-acquired Finnish phone maker has just posted a teaser on its Twitter which falls nicely in place with all the rumors and reports we’ve been hearing recently.
We’re pretty much sure it’s about the Lumia 1520 phablet — even more that a rumor was pointing roughly at that date — but just in case we’re wrong, which we doubt, it should be interesting to see what the Finns have up their sleeves, for probably their last kick before devices will start coming out with the Microsoft logo (or who knows what else?).
To put things in context, in case you were isolated for the past month, the Lumia 1520 is expected to be a larger-than-six-inch-er Windows Phone rocking a brand new version of Windows Phone, which will not only allow for 1080p resolution, but increase the number of Live Tiles on the Home Screen. Camera is also expected to be “PureView”-branded, though with a smaller megapixel count than on the Lumia 1020. We’re yet to see whether this will be just a generic Windows Phone with a gigantic screen, or Nokia has some innovation action going on. The invite implies the latter.
