When Apple announced its new iPhones earlier this week, it explained how pre-orders would be available for the iPhone 5C, which we’ve since seen get underway, and both new iPhones would ultimately become available on September 20. Of course, if you’ve been salivating at the thought of a new iPhone for the better part of 2013, you’re going to want a little more specificity than just that; exactly when will you get your shot at snagging one of these handsets? Today, Apple got around to sharing those details, explaining just how the start of 5S sales is going down.
Your first shot at the iPhone 5S will be through online sales, going live after the stroke of midnight on September 20, Pacific time. That means staying up past 3AM for any of you East Coast Apple fans. If you’re taking the retail route, instead, Apple stores will be ready to sell you the iPhone 5S beginning at 8AM that same day.
We know, none of this is particularly unexpected, but this is one seriously high profile launch, and we’re sure a lot of you had been itching to finally learn the full details.
