As of Midnight Pacific Time (or 3 A.M. Eastern), Apple has flipped the switch on the pre-ordering process for the iPhone 5C. Announced at the September 10 special event, alongside the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 5C is basically the iPhone 5 you own today, in a colorful polycarbonate case (which generated a lot of comments, both pro and against).
16- and 32GB flavors are available for $100 and $200, respectively, as well as $550 or $650, off contract. You can choose from white, red, yellow, blue, or green flavors, and you can match them with cases as colorful as the phone itself. If you’re in the US, UK, Australia, China, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong or Singapore, your pre-ordered unit will likely ship on the 20th of the month.
Are you getting one? Which one?
