New Nexus 5 pics seemingly spotted at FCC

If you’ve been following the most recent developments in the rumors surrounding the Nexus 5, you’ve no doubt heard about the mysterious device spotted in a video on Google’s campus, as well as how that handset appeared to match some hardware depicted in the FCC paperwork for LG’s model D820. Since then, there had been a little uncertainty surrounding that identification, though more recently it had looked like we were back on track. Now some new imagery has hit the FCC’s database, apparently showing us more of the same hardware.

First up: this discovery’s a little weird; it all shows up mixed-in with the paperwork for Verizon’s G2, LG model VS980. That said, some of the pics in here are clearly of the D820, and we see as much on a label affixed to the hardware.

There’s really a lot to get here – front, back, all the sides, as well as a ton of internal pics. Everything appears to match what we already saw of the D820 in the FCC documents already made public.

Granted, there’s still no Nexus branding present, but we can’t expect Google and LG to give everything away so easily.

Update: It took long enough, but the FCC finally removed these images from its collection of Verizon G2 documents.
