There’s no denying that LG is doing everything they can to become a top-tier smartphone player in today’s world. Their exposure with the LG Nexus 4 has been quite positive, and our experience with the Optimus G was also quite pleasing. Their recent announcement of the LG G2 did leave us with an interesting device that we’re very eager to test, and as it turns out, this should happen very soon.
AT&T has just begun their pre-orders for the new LG G2, and you can get it for $199 after a two-year contract, $575 without a subsidy, or $27 a month if you use their AT&T Next plans. You can only do these pre-orders online for now, but the device should reach retail stores on September 13th, which is right around the corner.
We do know that if Google continues the rumored plan of sticking to LG for their future Nexus smartphone, it’ll be based-off this LG G2, so it’s clear that this should be a very promising device if you don’t mind living around LG’s proprietary skin. You can learn more about this device in our Hands-on video posted recently.
