Early this morning we caught wind of the Toshiba Encore, the latest eight-inch Windows 8 tablet to go official. While not the first tablet running such software in that form factor, running an Intel Bay Trail Atom sure could give it a leg up on the competition, and the very attractive sticker price of a mere $330 could make the Encore difficult to ignore.
We simply had to check this guy out for ourselves, and see if it really would be capable of delivering a solid Windows 8 experience while still managing to keep its price so bottom-basement. Did Toshiba make too many sacrifices? Will this be the right blend of performance and affordability to compete with the budget Androids and iPad minis out there? Watch on to see what we found out.
