Plenty of manufacturers are getting a head start on the IFA by making their product announces a little early, as was the case over the weekend with LG and its new tablet. LG’s been out of the tablet game for quite a while now, but it’s finally time to do something about that, and the arrival of its G Pad 8.3 is reintroducing LG to the market.

Of course, tablets have come a long way during LG’s hiatus, but the company definitely seems like it’s getting back into things with its feet running, delivering the G Pad 8.3 with respectively modern specs like a 1920 x 1200 8.3-inch display, Snapdragon 600 SoC, and 2GB of RAM.

Will LG’s tablet resurrection be able to compete on the level of the latest models from the company’s peers? Has all this time given LG the opportunity to hone its design skills? We go hands-on with the G Pad 8.3 at the IFA in Berlin to find out for ourselves.
