Is LG just straight-up done with secrets at this point? The G2 was confirmed six ways form Sunday before its official launch event, which came almost like a formality by that point. Lately we’ve been looking forward to LG’s first new tablet in a very long time, and with a recent FCC appearance it was seeming very much real. While it still may have yet to officially debut, LG’s once again getting a head start on itself, and has begun teasing the G Pad 8.3 on YouTube.
An 8.3-inch size was rumored before, and seemed consistent with the dimensions from that FCC filing, so finally seeing it confirmed here in the product’s name itself is reassuring. This teaser video is light on details but does give us a few specs to chew over, like a full HD display.
Mostly, though, it’s all pretty vague: a tablet that’s speedy, tremendously portable, and with great connectivity options. It all sounds fine, but LG has some big competition in the tablet space, and it’s going to take a really special entry to steal attention away from the Apples and Samsung of the world.
