With all the phablet and higher-resolution rumors surrounding the near-future of Windows Phone 8 and OEMs, the buzz is, again, at its best, concerning Microsoft’s mobile platform. According to some recent reports, GDR3 (GDR2 is being rolled out as we speak), is under testing at Nokia India.
We take that, as well as other details in the report, with a grain of salt. The mysterious “notification center”, which should have been in Windows Phone 8 if Microsoft had more time to test it, was reportedly pushed back to the “Blue”-codenamed update. Today’s report claims that the notification center is in on GDR3, alongside a feature called “Appetitte” — which is a mystery at the moment.
A similar report urges us to “watch out for October”, citing people in the know who apparently know something, or leave that impression.
There’s an end-of-September Nokia event scheduled and we can’t wait to see and hear more details.
