While the struggle for an official YouTube experience on Windows Phone continues, Android users should prepare to receive a rather major update for their official client. The refresh has started rolling out recently but, in case you have not received the update yet, you can grab it from one of the links below.
Aside from a refreshed, card-based, user interface, the new YouTube application brings in-app multitasking. This means that you can minimize a video, while playing, and browse for other videos. It looks and acts pretty much like Samsung’s solution for playing videos on top of something else. Of course, there are other goodies under the hood but check it out for yourself at one of these links, courtesy of AndroidSpin.com — Link 1, Link 2, Link 3.
