Apple’s upcoming iPhone lineup is almost certainly going to be adding a whole lot of color to the brand; the numerous iPhone 5C leaks we’ve been keeping on top of have revealed the phone in white, yellow, green, red, and blue. But that’s only one part of Apple’s multi-colored future that we’ve heard rumored – remember those components that have been showing up every now and them, seeming to suggest a gold (or maybe “champagne”) color option for the flagship iPhone 5S?
The iPhone 5S body depicted above sure does look like it could be the home for all those golden parts. The source behind these images explains that it Photoshopped-out the markings on the phone’s rear, explaining the empty golden expanse. That oddity aside, this all does look very consistent with other hardware leaks we’ve seen in more traditional hues, and though we can’t say for sure, this does have the hallmarks of a legitimate component.
Now we’re left wondering how this version of the iPhone 5S might arrive; would it be just a third color option, or could it find some sort of special status, produced in limited numbers or restricted in some other manner?
