Every once in a while, reflections play a big part in bringing us some new smartphone news. Remember the big Lumia 920 scandal when a reflection revealed that its supposed optical stabilization demo was being faked? On certain rare occasions, we even manage to catch a glimpse of an unreleased smartphone thanks to a reflection in a sample pic. That’s the very boat we find ourselves in today, with what sure seems to be a Galaxy Note III revealing itself on Google+.
Samsung model SM-N9005 is one we’ve associated with the Note III before, checking out an earlier sample pic on Picasa last month. This time, however, that reflective screen lets us see the hardware actually snapping the pic.
Of course, it’s dark, hard to see much of any real detail, and knowing how Samsung will outfit in-development handsets with external shells, the Note III itself could very well be effectively obscured. Still, this is a pretty interesting curiosity, and not the kind of leak we get to see every day.
Latest we’ve heard, Samsung could be hoping to launch the Galaxy Note III in about a month, on September 4.
