Google’s ASUS-made Nexus 7, the new one for 2013, has been out only for a little time, and we’ve already started our coverage with an initial unboxing. We’ll have a lot more coming on the slate but early adopters will notice two over-the-air updates being available to download and install.
The first Android 4.3 system update will install as soon as the slate connects to WiFi during the initial system setup process. After rebooting and applying the patch, the system will be updated to build JWR66N. After the initial system setup procedure, another update will be downloaded and once the user opts to install it, the build will be bumped to JSS15J. According to reports, these updates contain nothing major, but some fine tuning and under-the-hood improvements.
